Taking Great Photographs Can Sell Your Items Online
I wanted to do a series of posts about the importance of pictures in online sales. This is something that many people struggle with. What makes a picture good or bad for sales isn’t always the same as what makes a good ‘people’ pic.
Unlike a brick and mortar shop, online customers can’t pick your merchandise up to examine it. Along with a text description, the photo is what will sell or repel and interested buyer. Are your photos helping them decide to do business in your online shop?
I’m not a professional photographer myself, but you don’t need to be to take decent pictures of your stuff. There are a few basic tips that will improve your photos and help your goods to stand out in a positive way. Good lighting, clean backdrops, using the correct camera settings, and showing your items in context are a few of these.
In the next few posts, I’ll go into a little more detail about each tip. You can do them all without too much work and little or no expense.
If you have any photo tips, please add them!
