How To Promote Your Crafts During A Yard Sale

Yard sales can bring tons of customers right into your yard. This is a good opportunity to advertise your handcrafted items to the public without adding them to the sale itself.

Why not just set up a table full of your craft items? Yard salers are usually bargain hunters. They know that most sellers will slash the prices to a fraction of the value just to get rid of more stuff. Adding your top of the line work to the sale will invite haggling and perhaps unkind critiques in an effort to get a deal.

Instead of offering your goods along with the clearance stuff, consider showing one or two pieces. It’s a good idea to place these on a table near you or a helper so you can keep an eye on them. If your handcrafted items are very delicate or expensive, consider having photos of your work instead!

If anyone asks about them, explain what you do and that this is a display to show off your work. Have a fully loaded card holder and some flyers in place in front of your items or photos for an instant promotion.
