She’s crafty? Who’s crafty?
My online handle is neonola. The neo stands for new, the nola for New Orleans. N.O. LA is an old postal abbreviation for New Orleans that drives the post office people nuts. Since New Orleans is new each day, and I’m still fairly new to New Orleans, it was a good fit.
I love making stuff, all sorts of stuff. My strongest skill is crochet, but I also knit, sew, cross-stitch, bead, and embroider passably well. So far, I have over 15 years of experience with these techniques, and I continue to learn new things each year. I also have eight years of experience with online auction sites, and have spent plenty of time manning a craft fair vending booth. I also love to write and shamelessly promote my online articles.
This blog is geared toward anyone interested in the above mentioned crafts, but especially toward those looking to sell their creations online or in flea market settings. There are small touches that can take your items to the next level; professional looking, polished, artisan, handcrafted. That’s what the meat of this blog will be about!
Along with helpful tips, I’ll also be doing product and website reviews, discussing hot topics as they pop up, and cool charities involving crafts. I’ll also be offering (or pointing you to) free online patterns and projects.
This blog is meant to be interactive, so if you have questions, a product you’re curious about, a crafting rant, or whatever, drop me a line. If I don’t have the answer, maybe someone else will read about it and answer.
If you have a website, charity, or project you’d like to see spotlighted here, give me the info, just expect an honest review and opinion.
Happy Reading,
~neonola~
